Playing guitar for more than 15 years and with two music degrees, Shields has taught music and theory from Minnesota to Tennessee. Now based in Nashville, Jon blends multiple genres from R&B and country all the way to classical and jazz. Having played in bands with the likes of Mary Wilson of the Supremes, his own jazz trio, and in groups opening for top country acts, Shields has built a reputable name as a guitarist and educator.
